Day 3 saw an earlier start for the students and after breakfast they headed off to Associacao Desportiv De Grijo for their third training session. Due to yesterdays matches and further matches later on today this was more of a recovery session with lots of mini recovery games such as football tennis, tik tac toe, one bounce basketball football etc. The students then headed to the same restaurant as the previous day for lunch before heading to the same venue as yesterday for 3 matches; U14/13, U15/U14 and finally a mixed U15/U14/U13 match. The U14/13 match was first and after a goalless first half the team put in a fantastic second half performance pressing high up the pitch. Yezen scored all four goals in a wonderful individual performance. The final score finished 4-1 to LP. The U15/U14 team were up next in what proved to be another even game. Unfortunately similar to yesterday they conceded late on and lost the game 1-0. The final match of the tour saw a mixed game between selected players but with the opponents having far more players to choose from they were able to keep a high intensity throughout, which LP eventually struggled to contain. The final score was 6-1 to our opponents with George O scoring the LP goal. Students then headed back to the hotel (via Lidl!!!) for a late dinner before lights out.
