Football

1XI opened up their Super 8 campaign against Burnham Grammar. In a close first half LP were unlucky to trail 2-1 at half time and despite some good possession and chances they eventually lost 4-1.

The U14 had 2 matches this week. On Tuesday they came back from 2-0 down to beat Reddam House 5-2 with Louis Cook hitting a hat trick. Yesterday they had an exciting cup game against Maiden Erlegh. After drawing 1-1 the match went to penalties which they unfortunately lost 4-3.

Netball

U14As and U15As played excellently against Sherfield and both winning convincingly. A great start to the netball season! Players of the match went to Ellie, Linda, Megan and Tiger.

On Wednesday the Senior 1st and 2nd netball team played in their first super 8 league match against Ranelagh. Two superb matches were played the Senior 1st team showed their determination and look to have a great season ahead. Player of the match went to Emma for her shooting and movement in the circle. The 2nd team won 27-15 with Lorna awarded player of the match for had defending.

The U15 netball team played up in the U16 Reading Netball league and won their first match against Bulmershe School. The player of the match went to Bisi for her impressive defending.

Hockey

The boys U18 team kick started their hockey season with a well fought win over a very physical Lord Wandsworth side. 2 classy goals from Will Green, and a great deflection goal from captain Will Parsons saw the boys lead 3-2 at half time. A further 2 second half goals from Luke Eddowes and Tom Mclellan gave LP a 5-3 win. Well done to the boys new into hockey and a special mention to players of the game, Will Parsons and Will Green.

XC

Well done to Nic Lee who won the U17 Girls Oxfordshire County Cross Country competition 2 weeks ago.

Good luck to all students taking part in the Berkshire Schools XC competition tomorrow in Newbury representing LP.

Team of the Week

U15 A Girls Netball team who played and beat an U16 Bulmershe team yesterday in the Reading Schools Netball League.
