Hockey

A mixed U12 and U13 Fryer girls hockey team went away to play dolphin school in their first 7 aside match on Wednesday. Throughout the match the girls became stronger by listening to the coaches and worked well as a team, with the final result being a 6-4 win to LP!! Some superb goals from Maribel who was one of the players of the match and fantastic defending from Rebecca who got player of the match too. Well done to all the girls who played in the match.

Good luck to all the girls that are playing this weekend against rendcomb.

Rugby

This week saw our U14A and U15A take large squads to The Oratory School for their first games of the season. The U14s put in a great team performance winning 35-15, notable mentions must go to Harry Angel and Ben Grubber for their incredible defensive efforts. The U15s also won their fixture running out 33-12 winnners again another great team performance but a special mention must go to Alex Harris for his man of the match performance. Focus now turns to the league and cup fixtures which begin next week.

Our 1st and 2nd XV traveled to Shiplake College on Wednesday for a triangular fixture with Shiplake and Reading School. Unfortunately the 1st and 2nds lost both games however they played some great rugby and both sides look ready to begin their league campaigns next week. Congratulations to the 10 boys who made their 1st team debuts, especially to Will Mullins and Lucas Son who scored their 1st points for the team. Our 1sts and 2nds host Hollyport at home on Wednesday with a 14.45 Kick off, it would be great to have as much support as possible!
